The Oaken Barrel Public house in Greenwood, Nova Scotia. We are proud to be locally owned and operated. As a traditional East Coast pub we focus on pairing fresh local menu items, with the friendly hospitality Maritimer's are known for.
Where did we get the name...
Greenwood is a town steeped in traditions. Choosing a name to represent our community was important. Oaken Barrels are a tool used for oak aging involved in everything from distilling spirits and wines, to our delicious craft brews.
These traditions are something all Nova Scotians are proud of.
Our pub is available limited times throughout the year for private events: charity dinners, community functions, cocktail receptions, and more.
Catering is available off site, please contact us for more details and we will customize a personalize menu for your event.
We are excited to present our vision for locally sourced pub food for you, and all our guests. We refuse to compromise on quality in our pub, That's why we source as many fresh ingredients as possible from local farmers across the Maritime's from the Annapolis Valley to PEI. Over 50% of our beers on tap not including bottles are local craft beers. Not into beer? We have you covered, all our wines and signature cocktails exclusively showcase local spirits from across Nova Scotia.
